1. Delicious Apple Crumble: This easy-to-make crumble is sure to be a hit with the elderly. Start by preheating the oven to 375°F. Peel and cube 4 pounds of apples and place them in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, mix ½ cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Pour the mixture over the apples and mix until evenly coated. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Topping: In a bowl, mix 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, ½ cup of white sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ½ cup of cold, cubed butter. Stir the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
