Our Values

Our Values

At Applegarth we have a set of core values and principles that are implemented throughout the home to ensure all our staff, residents and their loved ones are cared for and well supported.

Dignity & Respect

Uniqueness is celebrated and we expect residents and staff to treat others with respect and dignity. All our residents are treated as valuable individuals and we listen to their wishes to ensure they are happy and comfortable during their time here.

Privacy

All our residents have the right to their own privacy and, if possible, can manage their own affairs.  We want Applegarth to become a home for our residents and ensure their privacy is respected at all times.

Support

We offer emotional and physical support to all residents and their loved ones during their stay at Applegarth. We are aware there may be adjustments and struggles so we aim to assist in the best way we can to make things easier.

Safety

We aim to create a safe, caring and friendly environment for our residents. We continuously monitor the home to ensure this high standard remains with regular quality checks and care plan reassessments.

Collaboration

We believe that residents receive the best care when it is a collaborative effort. We work alongside residents, their loved ones, our staff and other health and social care professionals to ensure our residents receive the best care for them.

Independence

We provide person-centered care which places each resident at the centre of any decisions made about the care they receive. We encourage all residents to continue living independent lives with personal goals and aspirations.

Diversity

We are committed to ensuring Applegarth promotes quality and diversity in the workplace and wider community. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and we provide care to all residents, irrespective of race, religion, sex or age.

Community

We want to create close links with the local community and those that live close by. We recognise the value of family support for our residents. Family, friends and loved ones are welcome to participate in all our community activities and events.

Quality

We will regularly monitor and review our systems and working practices to ensure all changing needs are addressed. Although we always aim to provide the best support but we respond to feedback and listen to ways we can improve.
